“Personality is to mankind,
what perfume is to a flower”

(H) – stands for Hebrew and is found in the Old Testament.
(G) – stands for Greek and is found in the New Testament.
"Now the works (G2041 - business, employment, act, deed, anything done) of the flesh (G4561 - human nature) are manifest (G5318 - apparent, evident, known), which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness (G766 - unbridled lust), Idolatry (G1495 - Worship of false gods), witchcraft, hatred, variance (G2054 - contention, strife), emulations (G2205 - envious and contentious rivalry), wrath, strife (G2052 - a desire to put one's self forward), seditions (G1370 - dissension, division), heresies (G139 - a body of men following their own sect or party), envying, murders, drunkenness, reveling, and such like: of which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit (G2590 - an effect or result) of the Spirit is love, joy, peace (G1515 - a state of tranquility), long-suffering (G3115 - patience, endurance, constancy, steadfastness, perseverance), gentleness, goodness (G19 - uprightness of heart), faith, meekness, temperance against such there is no law." Galatians 5:19-22 (KJV).
People of God, when we get saved and take on the NAME of Christ, we also take on the NATURE of Christ. How can we call ourselves Christians (One like Christ) if we act and smell like the world. In the book of Esther, it speaks of the "Harem," a place of cleaning and perfuming. In this place those who were chosen for the King were cleaned and perfumed, so their scent would be one pleasing to the King. This is also the scent to let the others around know they were chosen for the King. It is time to let the scent of God come forth in the world. It's time to let the world know we WERE and ARE chosen by God for His use. It's time to perfume our surroundings, but remember this: it will attract that which is of God (people and opportunities) and repel that which is not. So my question to you is: Will you let the fragrance flow?

This is so true, there can be a beautiful person with an ugly personality and it changes the way they are seen.

Not only do I know some, I have been one. But I thank God that he has a signature scent he wants me to wear. And I notice more and more that I "smell" like Christ when I spend time in his word, which is spending quality time with him.

Be a sweet smelling aroma in God's nostrils...

"So, as those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience; bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, whoever has a complaint against anyone; just as the Lord forgave you, so also should you. Beyond all these things put on love, which is the perfect bond of unity. Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body; and be thankful. Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God. Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father." (Colossians 3:12-17)

This truth gem is so true as apostle Paul stated in the Book of Romans 6:3-5 that we were buried with him in baptism into his death( through the name of Jesus Christ) and in his likeness we are raised from the dead just as Christ so therefor we are walk in the newness of life. we must bathe ourselves in the Word of God Daily as it states in Ephesians 5: 26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word. We are his Bride so therefore we must make ourselves ready and go through the process of being puritfiy as Esther day to meet the King how much more that we have the fragrance that our Groom, our King will smell and know we are his Bride because we smell and look like him.

Many may wonder how can it be possible to be a sweet aroma to God. I know for a fact that we can be a sweet aroma if we are consistently reading Gods word and praying to God and asking him to change the things that are not of him in us. Change can and will come as long as we stay in the word of our God. God can give us the change we need to be a sweet aroma to his nostrils.

I have always heard that "Beauty is skin deep, but ugly runs to the bone!"

Our personality is a reflection of the inner man, whether it be good or bad.
We must strive to be more like Christ in word and in deed.

Many times, the only Bible some folks read, is the life we live before them.

Is our life worth being an open book, or stuck away in a box, hidden amongst the STUFF?
