Picture

“The carnal mind is static which will block your spiritual receiver
 from receiving messages from God.”
Picture
"But the natural (G5591 - governed by breath: the sensuous nature with its subjection to appetite and passion) man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness
(G3474 - dull or stupid) unto him:
neither can he know (G1097 - understand, perceive, feel, become acquainted with) them, because they are spiritually discerned. For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him?
But we have the mind of Christ."
1 Corinthians 2:14; 16 KJV
(H) – stands for Hebrew and is found in the Old Testament.
(G) – stands for Greek and is found in the New Testament.
People of God,
We HAVE TO sharpen our spiritual mind by spending time with God and in HIS word. Carnality is running rampant in the house of God and in our spirit. We have now taken to calling bad good and good rigid. We don't believe we must be covered, so we are letting everything show. We are allowing the seed of carnal thoughts to become carnal actions. We are not standing against the world and its ideas; we are sitting and becoming one with the notions. How can we teach people how to honor our God, if we don't see the need to honor him ourselves? How can the lively stones lead people out OF the world, when some of us are being lead out TO the world? This is the carnal mind (the static) that is blocking the true message from God which says:
"Wherefore come out from among (G3319 - in the midst of) them, and be ye separate (G873 - to mark off from others by boundaries, to limit, set apart for some purpose), saith the Lord, and touch (G680 - fasten one's self to, adhere to, cling to) not the unclean (G169 - in a moral sense: unclean in thought and life) thing; and I will receive you, and will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty." (2 Corinthians 6:17-18 KJV)
Sometimes we need a reminder, ALL the glitters (ideas) of the world IS NOT gold (precious and pleasing in the sight of God). We are living in an age where fitting in with the things of the world is more important than being holy. As I watch television, even the people who claim the title as Christian display the deeds of the world. We must realign ourselves with God and his desire for his Bride. Consider this we are God’s workmanship, we were created for him and not our own use. I heard a message a while back that revealed that God uses “Instruments,” for a long term purpose, and “tools,” are discarded after their purpose is served. If we refuse to allow God to change us and keep our same mindset, we forfeit the ability to be used as an instrument and by default become a tool. As long as there is life in the body you STILL have the time and chance to change your mind. Remember Revelation 3:20 is a plea to God's people: "Behold (G2400 - see), I stand (G2476 - to stand by our near, to stop) at the door (G2374 - passage into [your heart]), and knock: if any man hear (G191 - attend to, consider, understand, perceive the sense of what is said) my voice (G5456 - the sound of uttered words), and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me." So what will you choose: Instrument or Tool?

When I read this blog, I immediately remembered a point in my life when the flesh was speaking louder than God, simply because the flesh was closer to me than God was. To clarify what I mean, my emotions (flesh) was speaking louder to me than God was. It wasn't that He was silent, nor was He far away...I just wasn't listening. In that moment, all I could hear was ***Pain, Pain, Pain (why did this happen to me? What did I do to deserve this. Oh God, oh God...where are you?) Pain spoke to me so clearly that it began to take on my voice, and I began to dig up different reasons to remember a specific pain. Flesh (my pain) was blocking the one UNDENIABLE FACT, God never left me, and he was always speaking...I just wasn't listening. I love the fact that God was still talking, even when I wasn't listening. I am learning to discern between the static of my carnal mind, and the voice of The Almighty. One thing I have noticed: when God speaks to me I hear Him in my heart's ear and not in my own voice saying my own putting me down, reminding me of past failures, or present and future fears. I am more focused now and truly live by this Proverbs 3:5-6 "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not unto your own understanding. In all my ways I WILL acknowledge Him...and He will, because He promised, to direct my path.

We can't think "Spiritually" nor can we understand "Spiritual Things" with a "Carnal Mind."

“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” (Romans 12:2 KJV)

"Carnality Distorted My Reality" and it will distorts yours too!

Until we take the blinders off and the remove the "Rose Colored Glasses" which will only happen through the hearing, reading, and doing of God's word, we will not be able to see clearly, hear clearly, nor think clearly.

So take time out to Stop, Look, and Listen to God. Hear His Word, Read His Word, and Apply His Word to your life - that means you have to take Action! You have to actually do something with it - Put God's word into practice in your life.

God's word not only "Changes" your mind (your thoughts and the way you think) - God's word "Transforms" your life!

What's amazing about being an instrument is that we sometimes allow ourselves to be tools against one another. It's like we get amnesia, we forget that our purpose is to exalt God and encourage the people of God. To bring to people to the light that drew us. We choose to blend in with carnality instead of standing in contrast and I think it's because we're so used to where and what we came out of- that we don't want to be separate from it. Because being holy, sanctified- set apart means responsibilities. It means we're going to be held accountable to our actions and how others perceived us "Christians" better yet believers. It means we can't play ignorant anymore, though many try. But God said in his word at one point he winked at it, but not anymore, now all must come to repentance. We're afraid to have faith in God because then that means it's not about us and what we can do. It's all about Him, always has been, what he has done and will do. When we come to the truth, every excuse we can conjure up is invalid, dismissed in the eyes of God because he knows our heart. He knows what we know and understand. So if we choose carnality, there is no "oops" I didn't know. I don't want to be a tool. I know in the past I have been. I admit it. But if I'm going to be used by God I don't want to be used and then thrown away when he's done. I want to get the job done and be put away for later use at any occasion he sees fit.
