The God Sent Woman, First Lady, Elder Lisa McCoy's Biography

Elder Lisa M. McCoy, the pastor of Greater New and Living Way Temple of the Apostolic Faith, has stood faithfully beside her husband, Bishop Alvin J. McCoy, laboring in this ministry. She accepted her call into the ministry in 1990, was licensed as a local minister. and later ordained as an elder. A true helpmate, she serves on the Board of Elders, instructs the New Believers Class, is president of the Womanhood, and a spiritual adviser for the Missionaries and the Youth and Media Ministry while also serving as Director of the Oasis Center, Inc.
She was born in Akron, Ohio and at the age of fourteen she and her family moved to Atwater, Ohio. She is the eldest daughter of the late Pastor Felix and the late Mother Eleanor Johnson. Born to the union of Bishop McCoy and First Lady Lisa was a daughter, Tiffany Marie in 1979, who passed away at birth. But God has blessed them with many spiritual and God children.
Pastor McCoy is a graduate of the Full Gospel Bible Institute, Penn State University, and Geneva College, holding a Bachelor of Science in Human Resource Management with a minor in psychology. She has been employed with the Prince of Peace Center located in Farrell, Pennsylvania since 1999. She is also an original member of the Minority Health Center; serves on the Farrell Economic Development Board; is a member of the Early Childhood Council; and serves on the ASSET Committee formerly known as Weed and Seed.
Elder Lisa has been called upon by various churches throughout the eastern United States to preach at women's conferences, seminars, and retreats. For her diligence in ministry and business she was awarded the prestigious Who's Who among Professional Women and Clergy in 2005.
Following the visionary, Bishop Alvin J. McCoy, and the vision of the house, Elder Lisa has taught in the Full Gospel Bible Institute, spoke on the Gems of Apostolic Truth Radio Broadcast, ministered both locally and abroad, worked diligently in the senior and youth programs under the Oasis Center Inc. She also has followed the vision by spearheading the incorporation of Oasis, overseeing the application for renovation funding through the National Historic Society.
Throughout the years Elder Lisa McCoy has embraced the vision God has given her pastor and husband by planting seeds and overseeing various ministries. We thank God for our anointed First Lady and we give honor to God for the unyielding dedication she gives to the spreading of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
