"When I am faced with a
disturbance in life,
then there comes about an
elevation in God."

"Then answered Amos, and said to Amaziah, I was no prophet, neither was I a prophet's son;
but I was an herdman, and gatherer of sycamore fruit: And the Lord took me as I followed the flock, and the Lord said unto me, Go, prophesy unto my people Israel."
Amos 7:14-15 KJV
(H) – stands for Hebrew and is found in the Old Testament.
(G) – stands for Greek and is found in the New Testament.

     Have you ever had a plan for the weekend or even a weekday that fell through? You have mapped out the route for your life, began to walk it out, and then lo and behold…"The Disturbance." This disturbance comes in many forms: losing a loved one, divorce, break-ups, loss of job, or any other life circumstance. Often times we get upset when disturbances occur in our lives, but we as people of the Most High God have to realize God's ways aren't ours. Consider this: when God created us, he didn't consult with us. We were and are created for his glory and his use. Isaiah 43:7 states "Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him"…, pay close attention to the fact God says "…for I have created him for my glory…," so everything you face, will bring him glory. I do want to bring out "called by my name," everyone has the ability to hear the call of God, but only the chosen will answer (Matthew 22:2-14 focus on verse 14: "For many are called, but few are chosen").

     Major and minor disturbances are God's way of getting our attention. These disturbances are also known as "Godly Interruptions" come to let us know it's time to go higher and deeper in Him. I will not lighten this by saying "these disturbances won't carry with it some pain, but remember and trust Romans 8:28 "And we know (G1492 - to see [perceive by ANY senses]) that ALL things (G3596 - the WHOLE) work together (G4903 - help in work, be a partner in labour; to put forth power together with and thereby to assist) for good (G18 - of good nature or constitution; useful; pleasant) to them that (G3754 - since) love (G25 - AGAPAO [to love dearly]) God, to them who are (G5607 - being) the called (G2822 - invited; to be divinely selected and appointed) according to HIS purpose (G4286 - a setting forth of a thing). Consider this: the prophet Amos had no thoughts of being a prophet, nor did he come from a prophetic line; but when the Lord disturbed him while working as a herdman, he followed. The question to the body of Christ is: Will you go?

This is so good. It's so true Hod doesn't have to ask for permission from us to see if we agree with whatever it is that he wants to allow to happen to us weighed being good or bad. But no matter the situation we must trust in our God.

That's one thing I had to realize, God doesn't have to consult us about anything. We are HIS creation for HIS use. It's like the artist consulting the paper before he draws on it. Lol, thank God for His mercy on us while we were clueless. Thanks Christina

I remember graduating from Thiel College, with a plan. It was thought out, but not well. It was considered, but not counseled on. I didn't want to move back home, because I had my heart set on city lights and what looked like "adult life,"... But God said NO!!! I was applying inn different locations and never received a call back, and when I did get a job, it was in the area I was running from...working with children. Then to add insult to injury I had a growth inn my thyroid which required surgery. In this one story, there was at least 3 listed disturbances... But this disturbances were I'm place to get me to this place now. Don't regret or reject God's interruptions, but trust that he knows. Thank you Bishop Alvin J. McCoy for such a wonderfully truthful Truth Nugget.

Only the chosen will hear... It is an honor first of all to be called by God. When I think about who I was, what I was and what I did... What I do, from time to time... I am undeserving of God's grace but he thought I was worth it and made me worthy of his call. So yes, I will go. I will go because he went first. I will go because he gave me the ear to hear the call. I think about yes, many have the ability to hear but some ability to hear have been disabled and so they need us, the sheep, to open their deaf ears. And as His choosen, we have to go. And we have to do it as Jesus did it. Say it as he say it and keep it our two cents in our pocket. It's his glory we need to exalt. No self.
Thank you for this beautiful message.

There are times in our spiritual walk that we become very comfortable were we are at, that we won't move to where God is taking us. We feel the tug, but we allow fear and doubt to stop us. Therefore when we are called, chosen, and purposed by God he will cause a disturbance in our life to cause us to take a leap of faith to where he wants.

When that disturbance happens we come to our spiritual sense and realize I am a child of God and he has us in the palm of his hand. when we arise from our comfort zone, we realize that we process that power within us which is given by God. the truth Gem is truth. I thank God for the man of God giving us food for thought to awaking to our mind. Thank you Jesus. Lisa M.
